HPOWSC is “swim at your own risk.” Participants must be at least 16 years of age or accompanied by an adult. Members are expected to be able to swim 500 yards continuously prior to joining.

Open water swimming requires minimal gear. Here is what we recommend you bring on a swim day:

• Goggles

• Pull / Safety Buoy (Strongly Recommended)

• Wetsuit (for cold temps)

• Towel

• Water & Food
